What is cCs?
The Climate Coalition of Somerville (CCS) is a coalition of advocacy and activist groups collectively invested in driving environmental sustainability in Somerville, Mass. We work to accelerate equitable climate mitigation, resilience and adaptation efforts across the city.
What do we do?
Share information across our member groups about activities and priorities.
Liaise with the City and other groups in the region as a united front.
Educate and engage with the City and its residents about climate issues and actions.
Hold accountable relevant stakeholders for meeting local and state targets for greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction in 2020, 2030 and 2050.
Support Somerville’s efforts to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050, following Somervision’s Shared Values of sustainable development.
Mobilize our member groups for direct actions.
